Grizzly BBQ, based in Victoria, BC, takes its name from the Grizzly Bear motif inspired by the James Bay Athletic Association’s emblem. An homage to creator Ollie Briggs’ two-decade-long rugby career and community involvement. Ollie established Grizzly BBQ in 2016, although his passion for grilling began in 2011 during the first Ribfest on the West Coast. The Briggs family’s extensive involvement in the founding of Victoria Ribfest makes each event a wonderful family affair.
